Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week (July 12th-19th)

One characteristic of larger metropolitan areas that has begun to pop up in smaller cities is the wonderful idea of a restaurant week. Before moving to Hampton Roads I had the opportunity to attend my first restaurant week in Richmond so I was super excited to learn that just about all of the 7 cities in Hampton Roads featured a version of their own.

Restaurant Week gives you the opportunity to try a restaurant’s fare usually at a fraction of the normal prices. There are usually set menus featuring several choices that give you a taste of what’s good. While most of them occur at the beginning of the year, a time when many restaurants experience a dip in patronage after the holidays, I appreciate those that occur during the warmer months, particularly Downtown Norfolk’s Restaurant Week which occurs mid-July. This year it’s July 12th-19th. Check out the link above for a full rundown of participating restaurants!

Those of you who know me understand I am all about the power of social media when it comes to winning contests. Downtown Nofolk’s Facebook Page loves to do giveaways during the event. Be on the lookout for a chance to win a gift card to one of your favorite spots!

I’ve included a few photos from my visit to the Marketplace Cafe in Nordstrom at MacArthur Center in Downtown Norfolk! Here’s a link to the menu. If you go, post your photos on Twitter or Facebook and tag us @64Eats! Happy Eating! What’s your favorite restaurant in Downtown Norfolk?
